Our insurance policies may help with those out-of-pocket expenses not covered by your major medical insurance. whether it's ordinary living expenses like food and household bills or medical treatments such as physical therapy, Aflac can help you be prepared for whatever life may bring.
How Do Aflac Benefits Work
Aflac insurance policies pay cash benefits directly to you, unless assigned, regardless of any other insurance you may have. We pay cash benefits fast-processing most claims within four days (company statistics, December 31, 2007). You own the policy and manage the cash benefits. Aflac's policies are portable, so you keep your coverage if you change jobs or retire.
Available Aflac Policies
Accident
Aflac's accident insurance policy is designed to pay benefits that help you cover the ongoing expenses incurred after an
accident injury, from copayments to lodging and travel, and includes a wide range of benefits that other plans may not
cover, such as emergency treatment, follow-up treatment, annual wellness benefit, and initial hospitalization. Family
coverage is available.
Cancer/Specified-Desease
Aflac's cancer/specified-desease insurance policy helps with medical expenses related to cancer treatment. Cancer
treatment can cause out-of-pocket expenses that aren't covered by major medical insurance. Benefits can be used to help
with the cost of cancer treatment, including hospital stays, nursing services, cancer surgery/anesthesia, and much more.
Family coverage is available.
Hospital Confinement Indemnity
Aflac's hospital confinement indemnity insurance policy helps with the noncovered expenses of a hospital stay. We pay
cash benefits directly to you, unless assigned, regardless of any other insurance you may have. Family coverage is
available.
Short-Term Disability
Aflac's short-term disability insurance policy helps with the loss of pay resulting from a sickness or off-the-job injury
through monthly benefits. The benefits are paid directly to you, unless you choose otherwise. The policy is guaranteed-
renewable to age 70 and portable (the policy stays with you regardless of job changes).
